Embassy of India Seoul celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with great fervour earlier today. The event started with Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan hoisting the Tricolours at the Swami Vivekananda Culture Centre Premises followed by singing of National Anthem. In the event that followed, Ambassador read out excerpts from the speech by Hon'ble President delivered to the nation on the eve of 72nd Independence Day. It was followed by a cultural programme performed by the teacher and students of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Seoul. About 600 people comprising prominent members of Indian community living in Republic of Korea, senior Bureaucrats led by DG/ATI/ West Bengal who are on a training programme at KDI school and Students from IIM-B who are on a Study Tour in Korea, and prominent Korean dignitaries including Prof Kim Yangshik attended the celebrations.
