Visit of delegation of State Maharashtra led by Hon’ble CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis to Republic of Korea
South Korea’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Kim Dong-yeon met with India’s Maharashtra State’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Seoul on September 27(Wed.), and discussed cooperation in infrastructure projects and ways for S. Korean businesses to make inroads into Indian market.
Maharashtra State’s Chief Minister Fadnavis invited Korean companies to Maharashtra State’s ambitious‘Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway’ Project and asked South Korean government for financial support.
Mentioning that a MoU for supporting the financing package (EDCF) was signed during the 5th ROK-India Finance Ministers’ Meeting (June, 2017),
Deputy Prime Minister Kim said that the Korean government will review and discuss this with India’s central government.
Deputy Prime Minister Kim seeks the Chief Minister’s support for Korean companies to participate in major infrastructure projects in Maharashtra State.
It is expected that this meeting will give positive effect to Korean companies on winning contracts of major infrastructure projects in Maharashtra State.
South Korea’s government will explore project to participate in and connect the projects with financing support in other regions in India and actively support Korean companies to make inroads into Indian market.
