Visit of Mr Nitin J Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping to Republic of Korea

India is putting premium on infrastructure development with announcement of 100 Smart Cities development in 2014, creation of Industrial Corridors, port development through Sagarmala project. India views South Korea as partner in its growth story. South Korea has signed agreement in June 2017 to provide Economic Development Cooperation Fund of USD 10 Billion for infrastructure development in India. In the same spirit, various Korean infrastructure entities are participating in infrastructure projects in India.

In this regard, It is informed that a business delegation headed by Minister of Road, Transport, highway and Shipping , along with 30 Indian companies, is arriving South Korea on 9th April and will hold series meetings along with MOLIT and MOF till 12th April. A Maritime Business Forum Seminar and Road Infrastructure Cooperation Business Forum would be organized inviting all significant businesses groups in sector concerned. At maritime Forum Seafares’s agreement would be signed between two ministries. Visiting to the facilities of Busan New port and Gojae Samsung Shipyard is also part of program.
