Viksit Bharat Run: Run for the March of the Nation on 12 September 2026.

The Embassy of India, Seoul, in partnership with Gimhae City, organised the Viksit Bharat Run 2026 at Yeonji Park, Gimhae bringing together around 300 participants, including members of the Indian community and Friends of India in Korea.

The event was also graced by the Mayor of Gimhae City, Members of the RoK’s National Assembly, representatives of the Gimhae City Council, Gimhae City Sports Council, senior city officials and other local dignitaries.

The Viksit Bharat Run seeks to promote fitness, unity, community spirit and citizen participation in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047. It also heralded the spirit of Seva Pakhwada, which continues through Gandhi Jayanti on 02nd October, highlighting service to society, collective responsibility and the contribution of every citizen towards nation building.

The Embassy sincerely thanks Gimhae City for its close cooperation and the Indian community and Korean friends for their enthusiastic participation and support in making the Run a success.

주한 인도대사관은 김해시와 함께 김해 연지공원에서 ‘2026 비크싯 바란 런‘ 행사를 개최하였습니다. 행사에는 재한 인도인과 한국 시민을 포함하여 총 300여 명이 참여하였습니다.

김해시장, 국회의원, 김해시의원, 김해시체육회, 김해시청 고위 공무원 및 귀빈들도 행사에 참석하여 자리를 빛냈습니다.

비트식 바랏 런 행사는 2047년까지 선진 인도로 거듭나겠다는 ‘비크싯 바랏 2047‘ 비전을 실현하기 위해 개최됩니다. 선진 인도로 나아가는 여정에서 건강, 통합, 공동체 정신과 시민 참여를 도모하기 위해 기획되었습니다. 오늘 행사를 시작으로 인도 공동체의 ‘세바 파크와다(Seva Pakhwada)’, 즉 2주간의 봉사활동 기간이 시작되어 10월 2일 마하트마 간디 탄신일까지 이어집니다. 이를 통해 시민의 사회봉사 정신과 집단 책임감을 고취하고, 인도를 선진국으로 만드는 데 시민의 참여가 중요하다는 것을 강조합니다.
