The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) in association with Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, launched its Korea Chapter on 07 February 2021.
The event was graced by H. E Sripriya Ranganathan, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Korea along with the presence of Founder and Chairperson of SPIC MACAY Prof. Kiran Seth, Mr. Hwang ILyong, Director, Korean Culture Center. New Delhi and Dr. Sonu Trivedi, Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Seoul. The digital launch ceremony also featured interaction with leading Korean artists – Ms. Beena Keum (Odissi) and Ms Sukhee Oh (Kathak). Artists and volunteers from Korea and India enthusiastically participated in the ceremony and discussed about the future plans and means to culturally connect the people of the two countries.
