INDEPENDENCE DAY OF INDIA
August 15, 2021

On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2021, Embassy of India, Seoul organised a function at the Embassy premises. Given extant restrictions on social gathering due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held in hybrid form, with Embassy officials attending in person and Indian community members and friends of India joining online. 

Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan, hoisted the national flag and read out the speech of Hon’ble President of India to the nation. Cultural performances including patriotic song and dances were performed by Indian community members and students of the Indian Cultural Centre. The entire event was live-streamed on the Embassy’s social media handles.
