The 10th Indian Film Festival at Busan began with the screening of period drama Padmaavat. Five other critically acclaimed regional films are also being screened.
Ambassador H.E. Amit Kumar welcomed the audience and cinephiles in Busan during the opening ceremony & introduced them to the world of Indian Cinema. He also thanked the local partners for their support: Busan Cinema Center, Hannarae Foundation for Culture, Hongbeop Temple and the India Centre at Busan University of Foreign Studies as well as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Mayor of Busan, Mr. Park Heong-joon, Head Monk of Hongbeop Temple, Ven. Shim San and President of Busan Cinema Centre, Mr. Kim Jin-Hae also gave congratulatory message during the opening ceremony.
