Press Release: Second India-ROK Cyber Dialogue
The second India-Republic of Korea Cyber Dialogue was held on May 28, 2024 in Seoul. The Indian delegation was led by Mr. Amit A Shukla, Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, while the Korean delegation was led by Mr. Rhee Dong-Yeol, Ambassador for International Security Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of ROK.
2. The two sides discussed various matters pertaining to bilateral cyber cooperation including capacity building & training, standardization and cyber security. They also exchanged views on contemporary developments in the cyber domain, global challenges due to rapid evolution of technology, and ways to deepen cooperation at the United Nations and other multilateral and regional fora to build a safe and robust cyberspace.
3. The Indian delegation comprised of officials from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), and Embassy of India, Seoul. The Korean delegation comprised of officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of National Defence (MND), Ministry of Science & ICT (MSIT), Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, and the National Police Agency (NPA).
4. The Indian side invited the Korean side for the third edition of India-ROK Cyber Dialogue in 2025 in New Delhi.
