It has come to the notice of the Embassy that Indian nationals staying in Republic of Korea are being falsely lured through social media platforms on the pretext of offering easy employment which later lands them into trouble. All Indian nationals in RoK are cautioned not to fall prey to such scammers who lure unsuspecting people. Further, please refrain from sharing your personal information on social media platforms. Please do a background check on the credentials of any company offering easy money and question about the tasks that will be expected by you. Check out the workplace for yourself, assuming it’s not remote, and don’t share your most sensitive information until you get a legitimate offer from a legitimate company. For the sake of making easy and quick money, do not fall prey to such scammers/anti social elements, as it could lead to serious ramifications like imprisonment, etc.
