Embassy thanks Korean healthcare workers on the frontline of battle against COVID-19

As a show of respect and gratitude to the frontline health workers who are tirelessly working to fight COVID-19 and keep the residents of ROK safe, Embassy of India, Seoul, in association with the Seoul Metropolitan Government(SMG) gifted plants to all 25 health centers operating in Seoul City. The evergreen “Indian rubber plant” (인도 고무 나무) was carefully chosen for this purpose, considering its indoor air cleaning qualities and its long lifespan symbolising the Special Strategic Partnership between India and ROK. The plants were delivered to the respective offices on April 28, 2020.

2. Embassy of India, Seoul, Seoul Metropolitan Government and Yongsan District Office, also jointly organised a special event at which H.E. Ms. Sripriya Ranganathan, Ambassador of India, Seoul, H.E. Jang-Hyun Sung, Mayor of Yongsan District Office, representatives from Yongsan Health Center and officials from Seoul Metropolitan Government were present. During the event, Ambassador Ranganathan personally honoured some of the health workers in Yongsan Health Center with flowers.
